How to Make Redemption of Reward Points
A range of fabulous items are available for redemption in the Rewards Gallery. Gift items can be redeemed when sufficient reward points have been accumulated in the member's i-BookersClub account.
Individual Redemption: Click “Rewards Gallery” on the menu after logging in with your booker ID and password. Select the item/s you like and indicate the quantity you wish to redeem. Your request will be sent to us when you confirm your selections.
Corporate Redemption: Send an email request to the Account Manager indicating items you wish to redeem, the quantity to be redeemed and include a copy of your Identification Card (for Chinese citizens) or Passport (for non-Chinese citizens) and a Letter of Authorisation which you can download here. Your request will be processed when we receive the above information.
Upon receiving request of redemption, please allow fifteen (15) working days for processing. Hotel will advise on date of collection.

Definitions

"Company" refers to Shangri-La Hotel Limited having its Registered Office at Khor Al Maqta, PO Box 128881, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

“Programme” refers to the i-BookersClub.com web-based, online booking membership ONLY program launched by the Company, to reward QUALIFIED loyal bookers who make group, event and individual guestroom reservations to Shangri-La or Traders hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi at www.i-BookersClub.com.

"Member" refers to the individual who has accepted these Terms & Conditions and to whom a i-BookersClub.com Membership Programme Card and Member’s Booker Account ID are issued by the Company.

1.5
|
“Card” refers to the Programme identification which is issued to a Member under this Programme.
|
|
1.6
|
"Booker Account” refers to the authorised i-BookersClub.com Member’s booker login ID and password required for making online group, event and individual guestroom reservations; accessing Member’s account details; and reviewing Points Summary for Rewards redemptions in www.i-BookersClub.com.

1.7
|
“Base Points” refers to the value credited to the Member’s Booker Account ID based on paid, materialised, qualified group, event and individual guestroom reservations at either Shangri-La or Traders hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi made through www.i-BookersClub.com as defined under 4.2.
|
|
1.8
|
"Bonus Points" refers to any special Points awarded to a Member as a special offer or promotion from time to time as defined under 4.5.
|
|
1.9
|
"Points" refers to the total value of the Base Points and the Bonus Points, credited to the Member’s Booker Account.
|
|
1.10
|
“Point Summary” refers to the statement that details the number of Points rewarded by the Company to the Member.
|
|
1.11
|
“Redemption” or “Redeeming” of Points refers to the act of exchanging Points for Reward Item/s in the Rewards Gallery.
|
|
1.12
|
“Reward” or “Reward Item” refers to the Reward/Privilege/Benefit/Merchandise issued by the Company to the Member upon redeeming of sufficient Points accumulated in the Card Account.
|
|
1.13
|
“Reward Voucher” or “Redemption Voucher” refers to the voucher issued by the Company to the Member for the purpose of claiming the Reward according to the Member’s entitlement based upon the Points accumulated in the Member’s Booker Account.
|
|
1.14
|
“Rewards Gallery” refers to the online catalogue of Reward Items published on the Programme website at www.i-BookersClub.com maintained and updated from time to time by the Company.
|
|
1.15
|
“Merchant” refers to an individual, firm or company, which may include the Hotel, engaged in the business of selling and providing goods and/or services featured in the Rewards Gallery.
|
|
1.16
|
“Loyalty Centre” refers to the office at the Hotel administering the Programme for the Company.
|
Programme Membership
2.1
|
The Programme is available to any individual of legal age who is willing to book group, event and individual guestroom reservations at either Shangri-La or Traders hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, detailed as follows:
Individual Guestroom Booking
Any individual or company requiring Hotel accommodation at either Shangri-La or Traders hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi and is willing to book guestrooms through www.i-BookersClub.com is eligible to be a Member of the Programme. This includes authorised individuals of companies with contracted rates with either Shangri-La or Traders hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi.
Group Booking
Pre-qualified individual or company with the potential to book Hotel guestrooms and/or events for Groups (minimum 10 guestrooms arriving and departing at the same period) with Shangri-La or Traders hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi through www.i-BookersClub.com under the following market segments:
- Group Corporate Meetings (GCM)
- Group Conventions and Associations (GCA)
- Group Others (GOT)
The above is applicable to single or ad hoc group with a minimum of 50 room nights per group or individual or company with potential for two or more group bookings annually.
Event Booking
Pre-qualified individual or company with the potential to book in-house events or outside catering with either Shangri-La or Traders hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi through www.i-BookersClub.com under the following market segments:
- Local Catering
- Goverment and Association
The above is applicable to single event or ad hoc event with a minimum of 100 covers per event or individual or company with potential for two or more in-house event or catering bookings annually.

2.2
|
There are two types of membership:
Individual Membership: One or several individuals from a company that makes online group, event and individual guestroom reservations. Accumulated Reward Points are redeemed by the holder of the Member’s Booker Account.
Corporate Membership: One or several individuals from a company that makes online group, event and individual guestroom reservations. Accumulated Reward Points are credited to the company and only one authorised individual is allowed to redeem Rewards on behalf of the company.

2.3
|
Members are encouraged to provide sustained bookings to the Hotel to maintain an “Active” status in their Booker Account. Members with no transactions within 3 months from last check-out date will automatically become “Dormant” and access to the Member’s Booker Account will be blocked.
|
|
2.4
|
“Dormant” Members can regain “Active” status by sending a written request to the Account Manager in charge. Reactivation of a Booker Account will be processed within one (1) working day upon receipt of request.
|
|
2.5
|
Each Member is only allowed one (1) membership.
|
|
2.6
|
A copy of the Member’s Identification Card (for for UAE residents) or Passport (for Non-UAE residents) must be submitted to the Company for processing of the membership application.
|
|
2.7
|
Everybody with the exception of Directors, Employees and relatives of the Employees of the Company, is eligible to apply for and participate in this Programme, subject to the Terms and Conditions herein contained.
|
|
2.8
|
The Company may, at its sole discretion, grant Membership to an individual who has previously held a Booker’s Account with the Company under a similar Programme managed by it, subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions imposed by the Company.
|
|
2.9
|
The Company reserves the right to cancel any Membership issued by it due to violation by the Member of terms under related laws and regulations and resulting in an apparent error in the Booker’s Account, and forfeit all Points that may have been credited to the Booker’s Account without any compensation to the Member.
|
|
2.10
|
Approval, renewal and reactivation of membership in the Programme is at the discretion of the Hotel. Notwithstanding any terms herein, the Company reserves the right to refuse any applicant, customer or Cardholder from participating in the Programme with or without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
|
Membership Card
3.1
|
The Company shall issue a Card to an individual whose application for Membership into the Programme has been duly reviewed and approved.
|
|
3.2
|
Cards will be delivered to a preferred address by the Member’s Account Manager or may be claimed personally by Member at the Loyalty Centre. The Company shall not be liable in any manner for delays in the dispatch and/or delivery of the Card.
|
|
3.3
|
Members will be required to sign an acknowledgement for receipt of the Card.
|
|
3.4
|
Use of the Card constitutes agreement and acceptance of all the Terms and Conditions set forth herein.
|
|
3.5
|
The Card shall at all times remain the property of the Company and must be surrendered to the Company upon request. The Card issued to the Cardholder is not transferable.
|
|
3.6
|
Card which is stolen, lost, misplaced, or destroyed must be reported to the Loyalty Centre. The Company will not be liable for any Redemption made in the interim period when the Card is destroyed or stolen and when this was reported to the Loyalty Centre. Company shall not be liable for any loss incurred by the Member in between losing the card and reporting of lost card.

3.7
|
A completed Replacement Card Form, downloadable from the Programme website at www.i-BookersClub.com shall be mailed or faxed to the Loyalty Centre. Requests will be processed within seven (7) working days after receipt of the Replacement Card Form. Members will be advised by Loyalty Centre when Card is ready for collection.

3.8
|
A processing fee of RMB100 will be charged for Card replacements.
|
|
3.9
|
The new Card shall be issued by the Loyalty Centre to the Member upon presenting the requisite identification papers. An acknowledgement of receipt must be signed.
|
i-BookersClub.com Reward Points
4.1
|
Points will be awarded to the Member, based on:
Individual Guestroom Reservations
- paid and materialised online individual guestroom reservations made at Corporate, Public or Long Stay Rates through www.i-BookersClub.com.
Group & Event Reservations
- paid, materialised, QUALIFIED online group and event reservations made at qualifying rates and dates through www.i-BookersClub.com. All group and event reservations will be reviewed and pre-qualified for approval by Director of Sales (Corporate and MICE) and Director of Events for reward points to apply.

4.2
|
Points will be credited to the Member’s Booker Account from the date the Member’s Booker Account ID is approved. Points are given as follows:
Guestroom Reservation (Individual & Group)
Earn ROOM Points based on paid, materialised revenue
- 1 point for every AED10 Room Revenue Only
* A minimum of 10 room nights is required for awarding of Points to a Group reservation
* Points for guestroom accommodation are awarded based on the paid room type excluding any complimentary upgrades or upgrade benefits. In the event of a room upgrade, Points awarded are based on initial room category booked.
Event Reservation
- 1 point for every AED10 on F&B spend in banquets, Sofra bld if included in the meeting package, and venue rental

4.3
|
Points are earned on the net amount after any rebates have been deducted from the bill.
|
|
4.4
|
Group room and catering events are each subject to a maximum of 5,000 Reward Points. Reward Points in excess of 5,000 will not be credited to the Member's Booker Account.
|
|
4.5
|
The Company may award special bonus points for certain online group, event and individual guestroom reservations to Members taking part in special promotions organised by the Hotel, on fulfilment of specific conditions pertaining to the special promotion.
|
|
4.6
|
Points are awarded when the qualified group, event and individual room reservations have materialised and have been paid in full.
|
|
4.7
|
The Company shall have the right to disallow Points awarded in conjunction with any other promotion organised by the Company which may or may not involve special monetary discounts and/or other privileges.
|
|
4.8
|
Member’s Booker Account ID must be indicated in the “OPTIONAL REQUEST BOX” when making online reservations.
|
|
4.9
|
The Company will not entertain, under any circumstances and for any reason, retroactive claims from any Member for the crediting of Points to the Booker’s Account:
a) |
if the Member failed to indicate the Booker Account ID during online reservations.
|
b) |
if the group and/or event reservation has not been pre-qualified and the clause for awarding of Points is not included in the final Contract.
|
|
|
4.10
|
The Company reserves the right to close any guestrooms or function rooms in the Hotel for the purpose of renovation and/or redesigning and/or for any other reasons, temporarily or permanently.
|
|
4.11
|
The Company, at its absolute discretion, reserves the right to modify the number of Points to be awarded to the Member as it deems fit with prior notice to Members.
|
|
4.12
|
Points awarded and credited to any Member cannot be transferred, assigned or otherwise dealt with, except by the Member and only in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
|
|
4.13
|
Points awarded and credited to different Individual Members from the same Company cannot be combined, accumulated or aggregated for any Reward Redemption or for any other purpose.
|
|
4.14
|
Points do not have any cash, monetary or other value except as provided herein, and may not be exchanged for cash.
|
|
4.15
|
The Company will not be liable for any error or delay in the updating of details of the Cardholder's Account for reasons not directly caused by the Company, including but not limited to any loss of accumulated Points or any loss suffered due to a breakdown, failure of machinery, processor, computer hardware, software, communication and interface etc.
|
Redemption of i-BookersClub.com Points
5.1
|
A Member may use any number of Points as indicated in the Booker’s Account for Redemption of Reward Item/s in the Rewards Gallery at any given time.
|
|
5.2
|
To make a selection of the Rewards, the Member may choose from any Reward Item/s from the online Rewards Gallery. Redemption on any Reward Item/s can be made only when Member has sufficient Points in the Member’s Booker Account.
Individual Redemption: Click “Rewards Gallery” on the menu after logging in to www.i-BookersClub.com with the Booker Login ID and select preferred items for Redemption.
Corporate Redemption: Contact the Account Manager to consolidate and process the group Point Summary and identify Reward Item/s for Redemption.

5.3
|
The Company reserves the right to modify and/or update the Reward Item/s and their corresponding Point values as it deems fit, and Members are advised to always refer to the i-BookersClub.com website for the most updated Rewards Gallery to avoid any disappointment.
|
|
5.4
|
From time to time, the Company may declare expiry dates for the Points and publish such dates on www.i-BookersClub.com, and may request all Members to redeem their Points before the expiry dates and shall specify conditions governing the expiry of such.
|
|
5.5
|
Points awarded and credited to the Member are valid for redemption within an 18-month period as defined below. Points must be fully redeemed on or before the date of expiry as detailed:
a) |
For memberships approved between 1 January and 30 June of any given year, Points earned from 1 January until 31 December of the same year will expire after 30 June of the succeeding year.
|
b) |
For memberships approved between 1 July and 31 December of any given year, Points earned from 1 July until 30 June of the following year will expire after 31 December of that following year.
|
Points which are not redeemed on or before the expiry date will be forfeited without further notice to the Member and without any liability whatsoever on the part of the Company in respect thereof.
|
|
5.6
|
Points may not be purchased under any circumstance or condition.
|
|
5.7
|
Redemption of Points for Rewards is subject to availability of Rewards on a first-come, first-served basis. If the Reward Item/s that has been redeemed becomes unavailable, the Company will replace the selected Reward with another item of similar value as determined by the Company.
|
|
5.8
|
If the redemption of Rewards is in the form of dining and room vouchers, issuance of such vouchers do not constitute a reservation. The Member is responsible for making reservations at the participating outlets at the Hotel or notifying the participating Merchant of the redemption. The terms and conditions of the voucher shall apply.
|
|
5.9
|
For purchases exceeding the face value indicated on the Reward Voucher, the Member must pay the shortfall at the Member’s own expense.
|
|
5.10
|
There will be no refund of the difference by the Company or any participating merchant if the Reward Voucher value is higher than the value of goods or services purchased.
|
|
5.11
|
There will be no refund of the difference by the Company or any participating merchant if the Reward Voucher value is higher than the value of goods or services purchased.
|
|
5.12
|
A period of thirty (30) working days, upon receiving system notification for redemption is required to process the Redemption. Loyalty Centre will advise Member on the collection date of the Reward Item/s.
|
|
5.13
|
Upon notification by the Loyalty Centre to collect a Reward, the Member must present his Card together with a copy of the Identification Card (for UAE residents) or Passport (for Non-UAE residents) at the Loyalty Centre. The Member will be required to sign an acknowledgement of receipt when collecting the Reward Item/s.
|
|
5.14
|
Reward Item/s, once approved for redemption and/or have been issued to the Cardholder, are not refundable or exchangeable for cash or for another Reward Item. Once redemption has been confirmed, no further changes will be allowed.
|
|
5.15
|
The Company will not replace any Reward Item/s, which has been lost, defaced, torn, expired, damaged or stolen, for whatever reason.
|
General Conditions
6.1
|
The Programme is valid only at Shangri-La and Traders hotels, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi.
|
|
6.2
|
The Company reserves the right and at any time at its absolute discretion and with prior notice, to:
a) |
Vary, modify or amend these Terms and Conditions in such manner as the Company thinks fit, and the Member shall be bound by such changes;
|
b) |
Terminate the membership Programme, or withdraw, cancel or invalidate any Reward without liability and the Member shall be bound by such termination and shall not be entitled to payment of any compensation whatsoever.
|
|
|
6.3
|
Member’s participation in the membership Programme, including without limitation, the awarding and redemption of Points and the use of Reward Items, shall be governed by:
a)
|
the Terms and Conditions stated herein;
|
b)
|
the Terms and Conditions stated in the Reward Voucher or any document issued by the Company;
|
c)
|
any other Terms and Conditions as may be stipulated by the respective participating Merchants or third party operators, service providers or suppliers engaged by the Company to provide the Rewards featured in this membership Programme.
|
|
|
6.4
|
In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the membership Programme and/or the Rewards, the Terms and Conditions outlined herein shall prevail.
|
|
6.5
|
Any abuse or fraud with respect to the award or redemption of Points may result in cancellation of the accrued Points and any Reward Item/s already issued.
|
|
6.6
|
The awarding of the Points shall be entirely at the discretion of the Company. The Company shall intercede with the Merchant on behalf of the Member for any loss, damage or injury suffered or incurred by the Member in relation to or in connection with the membership Programme and/or the Rewards and/or the goods, services, privileges, rights and merchandise provided by the Merchants and the vendors of the Reward.

6.7
|
The Company shall not be liable if it is unable to perform its obligations under the Terms and Conditions, due directly or indirectly, to the failure of any machine or communication system, industrial dispute, war, Act of God or anything beyond the control of the Company.
|
|
6.8
|
The Member hereby authorises the Company to disclose information about the Member and the Member’s account to third parties for purposes of the membership Programme.
|
|
6.9
|
The Company records of all matters relating to the membership Programme shall be conclusive and binding on the Member.
|
|
6.10
|
The Company decision on all matters relating to the membership Programme shall be final and binding on the Member and no correspondence shall be entertained.
|
|
6.11
|
Words referring to the male gender shall include the female gender and words referring to the singular number shall include the plural number and vice versa.
|
|
6.12
|
These Terms and Conditions are provided in English and Chinese. In the event that there is any inconsistency between the English and the Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
